Who We Are
Wine Industry Coalition of Yucaipa Valley (WICYV) exists to support, connect, and represent the full wine ecosystem of the Yucaipa Valley. Wine in this region is shaped not by any single winery, vineyard, or business, but by a network of growers, producers, hospitality partners, service providers, and community stakeholders working within a shared landscape and local economy. The coalition was formed to provide a unified space for that ecosystem to come together.
WICYV is grounded in collaboration. We bring together those who grow grapes, produce wine, host visitors, steward land, and contribute to the infrastructure that allows the Yucaipa Valley wine region to function and evolve. By aligning these interests, the coalition helps reduce fragmentation, strengthen coordination, and create a clearer regional identity rooted in local realities.
Our Purpose
The purpose of WICYV is to strengthen the long-term viability and visibility of the Yucaipa Valley wine region. The coalition serves as a platform for shared problem-solving, information exchange, and coordinated efforts that benefit the region as a whole. Rather than promoting individual businesses, WICYV focuses on supporting the conditions that allow the local wine ecosystem to grow responsibly and sustainably.
This includes fostering connections across the industry, supporting regional awareness, and creating opportunities for collaboration that individual entities may not be able to pursue alone. The coalition provides structure without replacing independence, and coordination without imposing uniformity.
Our Approach
WICYV takes an ecosystem-based approach to wine in the Yucaipa Valley. Wine production and wine tourism are influenced by land use, water, climate, labor, infrastructure, hospitality, and community engagement. The coalition recognizes these interdependencies and works to bring relevant voices into the same conversation.
By approaching wine as a regional system rather than a collection of isolated operations, WICYV helps its members better understand shared challenges and opportunities, and supports more informed, coordinated decision-making across the valley.
Who We Serve
WICYV serves wineries, vineyards, grape growers, hospitality businesses, and other organizations connected to the Yucaipa Valley wine industry. The coalition also engages with local partners who have a stake in the region’s agricultural and economic future. Membership is open to those who are invested in the health and success of the Yucaipa Valley wine ecosystem and who value collaboration over competition.
Governance and Leadership
The coalition is guided by a board of directors and leadership team drawn from within the local wine community. Board members bring diverse experience and perspectives, helping ensure that WICYV reflects the realities of the region it represents. Leadership focuses on stewardship, transparency, and maintaining alignment with the coalition’s purpose and values.
Looking Ahead
As the Yucaipa Valley wine region continues to evolve, WICYV provides a stable foundation for collaboration, dialogue, and shared progress. The coalition is not a marketing entity or a regulatory body; it is a forum for coordination, connection, and collective effort in support of a resilient and locally rooted wine region.
